Amazon.com Product Description In World War I, it was common for the Allies to carry trench knives for up-close combat. This black Sentry knife pays tribute to the trench knives of a century ago, with such features as a cast-metal handle, a 5-inch 420 stainless-steel blade, and a knuckle guard design for extra hand protection. The knife also comes with several carrying accessories, including a black nylon sheath, a fully adjustable nylon shoulder harness, a belt loop, a boot clip, and a quick-release blade insert. Available with a Spearpoint tip, the knife measures 9-1/2 inches overall.

A Modern Trench Knife August 15, 2010 JC Ravenstone (Indiana) There's really no getting around the fact that this is a knife designed for war, specifically against other humans. It has a decent feel to it, but it is different from knives which lack knuckle guards. It takes some getting used to, and is probably better for people with larger hands than mine.
The sheath, while versatile, is not very comfortable. I am going to make my own custom set of straps for it, as the elastic has too much give. It takes some force to remove the blade from the sheath, and if I'm not holding the sheath with the other hand it gets yanked away from my body and then slaps back. I'm working on a tighter, less stretchy rig.
I'm a little concerned about the durability of the tip. A friend of mine (who is an idiot) stabbed the blade through three empty soda cans and into my floor. He also spent several minutes "sharpening" it while I was gone. I later inspected the knife and found the the tip, which had been very sharp, was now flat. It seems to have broken off, and there is a little chip near the tip as well. It's nothing major at all, and I'm working to fix it, but it does make me a little worried.
Great Knife August 14, 2010 Aaron I bought this knife after reading the reviews for similar knives on Amazon. Even though it was a little more expensive I think it's worth buying. Solid blade, solid handle, lightweight but strong build. The Shoulder Harness was pretty tacky. The knife itself goes into a plastic sheath and holds well but the fabric that it detaches from is of poor quality. I bought this knife for the knife only and not the harness, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!! BIG BANG FOR THE BUCK!! I WAS REALLY SURPRISE WHEN I OPEN THE BOX AND SAW THE CRAFTMANSHIP,SHARPNESS,WEIGHT,AND BALANCE. I'M A BIG GUY AND THE SHOULDER HARNESS FITS LIKE A GLOVE UNDER MY MOTORCYCLE JACKET OR VEST!! WON'T LEAVE HOME WITH OUT IT!!
Must have knife July 14, 2010 S.B.W.B.S. This knife is great in every way. The knife came razor sharp (could easily take some hair of your arm sliding it across it applying little pressure). The knuckle guard is very sturdy. You can see some glue in between the handle and the blade but thats no big deal. The shoulder harness is pretty good. i mean, it holds it there but does allow more movement than I'd like. if you shorten the straps and the clip the metal clip that is at the end by your belt slightly behind your pocket, it stay much better and doesn't allow as much movement. I havent tried using the Harness as a belt sheath but im expecting that to be great too.
Prompt shipping and an excellent product. July 3, 2010 Alan H. Nelson There's not much else to say. It is an excellent knife, regardless of the price.
