I got one of these a while back and it is definitely worth it. I use mine for coffee most of the time. The screen limits the flow so you can drink hot coffee and not risk burning yourself from it pouring too fast. When I use it for cold stuff it stays cold a very long time too.

I bought 2 of these bottles at the same time I bought 4 Camelbak with the straws. These stainless steel bottles are clearly superior. Feel comfortable in the hand, don't sweat and drip, keep hot items hot for a long time and cold items cold for a long time. I am a tea drinker and brew a pot from loose tea every morning. Sometimes I will have a mug left over and put that in this bottle and take it to work to drink, hot, several hours later. It works. I can put cold water in it and know that hours later it will still be cold. I can put a bottle in my camera bag or briefcase or jacket pocket without worrying about it getting everything wet, it works just fine. Fits the cup holder and doesn't get that full of bottle sweat. By the way, when I have filled it with freshly brewed hot tea to take somewhere and my hands are full, I can slip it into a pocket without feeling the heat. The insulation works both ways. The choice of a small spout or a large opening is handy and useful. My biggest regret is that when I needed to buy 6 bottles I only bought 2 of these. Read my review on the Casmelbak and you will understand. As for taste, drinking from stainless steel is a real treat.

Wow.I got the dark green amazing vessel. it comes with 2 sifts, one for ice and one for much finner things. i was amazed to find the top came off to make a plastic-bottle-like top. So, i took this bottle with me to go to the dentist(1hour), resaraunt(1hour), movies(2hours),stores(1hour). i drank it after all that, ice cold. amazing

I have bought stainless steel water bottles before, but they were not insulated. I searched Amazon and the Eco Vessel was insulated and in nice colors, so I ordered two. We brought them to the beach during our two week vacation and they performed as well as we expected them too. I read other reviews of bad tasting water in stainless steel water bottles and was concerned because my bottles from kleenkanteen.com never smelled. These are great - do not smell and keep the liquids cold. We really like the mesh screen - keeps the ice out of our faces. Well made.
8/13/10- just noticed that my blue water bottle color is chipping. I anticipate that it will look bad after a while and now wish I ordered the bottle in plain stainless steel. Otherwise, my husband and I still really like them. I do not understand why people would think there was an off taste - there is definitely not. Could be they left them closed up with water in them for a long time.

Finally! An option for an insulated bottle that works well for kids without all those breakable plastic parts! We've had MANY Thermos Funtainers and while the idea of them is great, those plastic pop-tops always end up breaking/snapping off and if they don't break, there's always the gross-out factor with the straw and the plastic it's connected to and the inability to REALLY get them clean that brings me down. When a friend of mine recommended this bottle, I was so excited to find that the construction is entirely metal (except for the spout which is very strong/sturdy) and the strap that connects the detachable top to the base. It's holding up to the extreme punishment my kids give it and still keeping water COLD after an entire day of being outside in 90+ degree heat. It's worth every single penny! Love this product and so do my kids! Hooray! P.S. We have one this size and one of the 25 oz. which is not that much bigger in size and worth the tiny bit of extra space for the extra 8 oz. capacity.
