Well worth every penny! Can't go wrong. August 11, 2010 The Noize (Huntington Beach, CA) All the review work has been done, all you need to do is read "Skull Fungus" review for a detailed analysis. Great knife and all the pockets make it great for a "bug out bag".
Great Product June 11, 2010 DB (Louisiana) Just received this knife in the mail and it is definitely well worth the money. Everything seems to be of good quality. I'm very satisfied with this purchase!
Only good for lite work. Knife worthless after 1 camping trip April 19, 2010 Joseph W. Hayes (Warrior, AL USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you intend to use this knife for lite camping chores, it may be a good knife for you. However, I purchased this knife and on the first camping trip the rivet that holds the sheath together came apart (the sheath is mostly canvas). Also, the threads, that hold the survival contents within the hollow handle became stripped.
As far as the defect in the sheath: I pulled the knife in and out of the sheath about 30 times over 3 days. I feel that was not nearly enough times to use my knife before the canvas around the rivet became worn through.
As far as the stripped threads go: granted I used the knife to cut 5 large saplings down to make a lean-to. On the 5th sapling, the head of handle kept coming off and I may have too hastily screwed it back into place (thus causing the threads to become stripped).
Threads not withstanding, having to find and buy a new sheath will be hard enough, but the end of the handle where the threads are stripped is used to hold the hand protector and the knife itself, together. Thus, the knife is basically worthless after only one camping trip.
Excellent Survival Knife! September 29, 2009 Gary S (Moab) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As most everyone else has said, this is a nice big 10" bladed survival knife. The only problem I had with mine was the compass didn't work at first(and the stone is too coarse as has been said). But I found out that it works fine if you unscrew it from the handle. all the metal around it must be messing up the magnetic field when it's screwed in because if I even held it near the handle it would mess up the reading. So if you buy it (and you should!) and find your compass is misreading, just unscrew the end cap and use it alone. That and the pathetic stone are the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars.
The Knife is fine. September 16, 2009 Juan Torres The knife came quickly and has all the parts in the photo. Its in new condition and I am happy with it.
